This range covers the Soviet Army in Central Europe during the mid-1980's,  which saw the introduction of state of the art weapons, vehicles and technology which would soon dominate the modern battlefield, while the bulk of the equipment  comprised older tried and tested designs dating back to the 1960's and 70's.

T64B T64B Tank
The T64B Tank was the mainstay of the Soviet Tank regiments in GSFG during the mid 1980's.
The model comprises 5 parts and some assembly is required.

BMP-1 BMP-1 Infantry Combat Vehicle
The BMP-1 is armed with a 73mm gun and an anti-tank missile system, and carries a squad of infantrymen.  The model contains parts allowing either the BMP-1 (AT-3) or BMP-1P (AT-4)
to be modelled. Some assembly is required

BMP-2 BMP-2 Infantry Combat Vehicle The BMP-2 was an improved version of the BMP-1, armed with a powerful 30mm cannon and an improved AT-5 Spandrel ATGM.
The model comprises 4 pieces - some assembly is required

BMP M-1976/2
Also known as the BRM-1 or BMP-R, the BMP M-1976/2 is a specialised reconaissence vehicle, fitted with a surveillance radar and extra radio equipment. It was used as a command vehicle in the Regimental and Divisional Reconaissence units.
The BTR-60PB was the most common wheeled APC in use in GSFG during the early and mid 1980s and equipped the majority of the Motor Rifle Regiments.
Model comprises 2 parts (hull is cast in polyurethane resin, with the turret cast in white metal) and some assembly is required.

BRDM-2 BRDM-2 Reconnaissence Vehicle
Sturdy, reliable and simple to operate, the BRDM-2 was the main Soviet recce vehicle,  seen throughout GSFG in the recce and HQ defence roles
A BRDM anti-tank variant. Equipped with AT-5 Spandrel ATGMs this vehicle was found in Soviet Regimental and Divisional Anti-Tank units.
An anti-aircraft variant of  the BRDM-2. Equipped with SA-9 Gaskin surface to air missiles, this vehicle was found in the Regimental Air Defence Batteries.
The model comprises 3 parts - some assembly is required.
A command variant of the BRDM-2, equipped with extra radios.
2S1 122mm SP Gun
The 2S1 was the standard SP artillery piece found in the Soviet Tank and Motor Rifle Divisions.

ACRV M1974/2a
The ACRV was one of a series of specialist artillery command vehicles designed for the Soviet Army. The M1974/2a version was the Battery Command Post and was usually employed well forward as a mobile Observation Post for the guns.

ZSU-23-4 ZSU-23-4
Known as "Shilka" in the Soviet Army the ZSU-23-4 was found in the Regimental Air Defence Batteries and was designed to provide close AA support.
The model comprises 5 parts and some assembly is required.
