All
of our models are researched and painted to match the original
buildings as closely as possible. If we are unable to match the
original colours we use our extensive reference library to
match
the colours to similar contemporary buildings.This helps to enhance the
realism,
period character and feel of our models. We have a constantly growing collection of reference material, including travel guides, architectural manuals art and history books to help us get it right, plus an increasing number of colour photos taken on our field trips to Europe. TimeCast models are assembled and hand painted by professional model makers with over twenty years experience as commercial model makers. We use a variety of media including artist quality acrylic paints and acrylic inks, and the colours used are selected to match the colours used on the original buildings. The painted finish is protected with a coat of hard wearing polyeurethane satin spray varnish. The completed models are then ready for use on delivery. The prices of the painted models are shown in the catalogue. If you have any other requirements for your painted models then please contact us and we will be happy to discuss them with you. |
